Thomas M. Kitts is a Professor of English and Speech at the Collins College of Professional Studies, St. John's University. His research focuses on popular music, comedy in music, the music industry, and artists such as The Kinks, Ray Davies, and John Fogerty. He serves as Area Chair of Music for the Popular Culture Association and American Culture Association, and co-edits Popular Music and Society and Rock Music Studies with Gary Burns. His teaching spans courses in effective business writing, literature, public speaking, and writing about music.
