Loren Kajikawa is an Associate Professor of Music (History & Culture) and Program Head at the Corcoran School of the Arts & Design, The George Washington University. His research focuses on American music of the 20th and 21st centuries, with an emphasis on race, politics, and cultural identity. He has published extensively in journals like American Music, Black Music Research Journal, and Popular Music and Society.
