- Education: M.Sci. (St Andrews), Ph.D. (Manchester)
Research interests focus on dimension theory in dynamical systems, with emphasis on:
- Multifractal analysis and thermodynamic formalism
- Self-similar and self-affine sets
- Non-conformal dynamical systems
- Fourier transforms for invariant measures
His recent work explores Birkhoff spectra, Lyapunov exponents, and geometric properties of dynamically defined sets. Collaborations span probability theory and mathematical physics.
Scientific contributions include:
- MSC Fellowship (2015-2017)
- Ferguson fellowship (2011-2014)
He has supervised 5 academic students and published 31 peer-reviewed articles. Research outputs demonstrate strong connections between dynamical systems, fractal geometry, and harmonic analysis.
