Thomas Love is a Research Fellow in Art History at the University of Missouri’s College of Arts and Science. Their work bridges contemporary art history with gender/sexuality studies, German studies, and critical race theory. Love’s current project examines queer art in post-1960s West Germany to explore how racial and ethnic difference shaped queer identity formation. They hold grants from SSRC, DAAD, and Fulbright, alongside fellowships from the Paris Program in Critical Theory and Whitney Independent Study Program.
