Prof. Dr. Thomas Lemke is a Professor of Sociology at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main, specializing in Biotechnology, Nature, and Society. He leads the Institute of Sociology within the Faculty of Social Sciences. His research focuses on technoscientific governance, biopolitics, and the societal implications of biomedical innovations. Lemke has held visiting professorships at universities including the University of Sydney and Copenhagen Business School.
Professional Background: Since 2008, he holds the Frankfurt professorship focusing on Biotechnology, Nature, and Society. Previously, he was a research associate at the Institute for Social Research (2002-2008) and a Heisenberg Fellow (2007-2008).
