Dr. Thomas Kutter is a Professor of Physics at Louisiana State University's College of Science, specializing in experimental particle and astroparticle physics. He earned his PhD from the University of Heidelberg.
Research Focus: Neutrino physics, particularly oscillation phenomena using accelerator beams. Current projects include the T2K (Tokai to Kamioka) experiment in Japan and development for the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE).
Technical Leadership: Designs particle detection systems including the T2K Side Muon Range Detector and liquid argon detectors for DUNE. Contributes to neutrino beam calibration and data analysis methodologies.
