Thomas Koed

Thomas Koed is a Senior Research Associate in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Southern Denmark, holding a PhD and MSc in Molecular Biology. His research focuses on RNA splicing mechanisms with particular emphasis on exon vulnerability, pseudoexon modulation, and therapeutic applications of oligonucleotides.

His primary research interests include RNA Splicing, Casein Kinase 2 signaling pathways, Exon Biology, and Genetic Disorder Therapeutics. His work bridges molecular biology with clinical applications, particularly in metabolic disorders and neurodegenerative diseases.

Recent publications demonstrate a strong trend toward therapeutic development, with significant work on splicing correction for genetic disorders and metabolic regulation through protein kinase pathways.
