Thomas J. Gast is a Visiting Senior Scientist at the Indiana University School of Optometry, located at 800 E Atwater Ave, Room 533, Bloomington, IN. He is the founder of Eye Surgeons Inc, a multistate ophthalmology practice in the upper Midwest, and holds both MD and PhD degrees.

Dr. Gast retired from private practice to care for his children before returning to ocular imaging research.
