Courtney Goode is an optometrist with expertise in ocular health, refractive disorders, and medical optometry. She is currently affiliated with the University of Maryland, Baltimore, where she serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. Dr. Goode provides comprehensive eye care, including contact lens fitting, diabetic eye examinations, and management of ocular diseases such as glaucoma and dry eye.
Education:
- BS in Neurobiology and Physiology from University of Maryland, College Park (2012)
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) from Salus University, Pennsylvania College of Optometry (2017)
- Certificate in Advanced Studies in Anterior Segment from Pennsylvania College of Optometry (2017)
- Residency in Primary Care Optometry at Veterans Health Administration, Fresno, CA (2018)
Dr. Goode's research and clinical interests focus on neuro-optometry, low vision rehabilitation, and the management of ocular disease. She has presented case studies on vision loss in neurological conditions, including multiple sclerosis and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy, and has emphasized the role of optometry in systemic health monitoring, such as hypertensive retinopathy.
