Thomas C. Pearson is a Professor of Accounting at the School of Accountancy, Shidler College of Business, University of Hawaii. His roles include teaching advanced taxation courses and leading academic initiatives in accounting education. He holds degrees from Dartmouth College, Vanderbilt University, and the University of Denver/New York University.
Research interests focus on international tax policy, securities law, and tax audit compliance. Notable contributions include proposing reforms to reduce tax avoidance by multinational enterprises (MNEs) and co-authoring the influential textbook *Accounting and Auditing Research: Tools and Strategies*. His work aligns closely with global tax frameworks like the OECD's Pillar One and Two reforms.
