Thomas Bruhn

Thomas Bruhn is an Adjunct Professor of Art History and Director Emeritus of the William Benton Museum of Art at the University of Connecticut. With a 36-year career at the Museum, he has curated exhibitions focused on prints, drawings, Baroque art, and American art, while expanding its collections through acquisitions and gifts. He holds a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania.

His teaching at the Department of Art and Art History includes courses on the history of prints, 17th-century Baroque art, and 18th-century French/English art. His research emphasizes European art from the 17th–19th centuries and American art from the 19th–20th centuries.
