Thomas Bellama serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy Rehabilitation Sciences within the College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions at the University of Hartford. Additionally, he holds faculty positions in the Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network and the University of Hartford Orthopedic Residency Program.

Research Interests: Dr. Bellama's research spans Orthopedic Physical Therapy, Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation, and Injury Prevention. He develops community-based exercise programs and novel injury prevention strategies, particularly for resource-limited environments like the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI). His work also investigates DPT admissions criteria and the validation of a running analysis protocol.
Advising and Professional Contributions: Dr. Bellama co-created the S.O.A.R. Pro-bono Student Experience, which provides hands-on patient care opportunities for DPT students. He mentors orthopedic residents and hosts clinical rotations in the CNMI. His teaching focuses on musculoskeletal curriculum and orthopedic residency education.
