Thom Clough is a Researcher at Bangor University's School of Natural Sciences. His work focuses on coastal flooding, climate change impacts, and environmental modeling, with a specialization in hydrodynamic and water quality simulations using Delft3D.
Current projects include:
- INVEST with the Environment Agency to model coastal water quality under climate change.
- PATHSAFE as lead modeller, studying pathogen dispersal in North Wales coastal waters.
His expertise spans GIS/spatial analysis, statistical modeling (R/MATLAB), coastal surveying, and biological sample processing. Previously, he worked at the Shellfish Centre and the Institute of Estuarine and Coastal Studies (IECS) in remote sensing roles.
Education:
- MSc in Marine Environmental Management from the University of Hull (2019, Distinction)
- BSc (Hons) in Marine Biology & Coastal Management from Lancaster University (2018, First Class)
