Theodoros Giannouchos

Dr. Theodoros Giannouchos is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Organization at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Public Health. He serves as Program Director for the MSPH in Outcomes Research and holds appointments in the Center for Outcomes and Effectiveness Research and Education (COERE) at UAB School of Medicine. His research focuses on quantitative methods in health services research, health economics, and outcomes analysis, with particular emphasis on healthcare utilization patterns, policy evaluation, and cost-effectiveness of interventions. He has conducted extensive work on emergency department overuse, substance use disorder treatment access, and the impact of public health policies like Medicaid expansions and insulin copayment caps.
