Theo Farrell is Visiting Professor of War Studies at King's College London and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education) at University of Wollongong. A leading scholar on contemporary warfare, he specializes in military adaptation, counterinsurgency, and the Afghanistan conflict.

- BA in Economics and Industrial Relations (University of Leeds)
Farrell's research examines technological change and organizational innovation in military institutions, international law and use of force, and the political-military dynamics of the Afghanistan conflict since 2001. His award-winning book 'Unwinnable: Britain's War in Afghanistan, 2001-2014' provides definitive analysis of the British campaign.
