Thaís Lopes de Oliveira is a Researcher at the Department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Karolinska Institutet, Sweden. She specializes in epidemiology and the molecular epidemiology of aging, working within Sara Hägg's research group.
- Education: Master’s (2017) and PhD (2021) in Public Health Epidemiology from Oswaldo Cruz Foundation, Brazil.
Research Interests focus on functional aging across multiple domains (sensory, cognitive, physical) and its interaction with pharmacological interventions, epigenetic markers, and lifestyle factors. She employs longitudinal cohort studies to assess aging trajectories and health outcomes.
Teaching includes seminars on non-communicable diseases, aging determinants, and doctoral course assistance in life-course perspectives. She supervised projects on Inflammatory Protein Epigenetic Scores and Cardiovascular Medication Effects.
Public Outreach includes participation in the 26th Nordic Congress of Gerontology (2022).
