Tetyana Shippee is Professor in the Division of Health Policy & Management at the University of Minnesota and Associate Director for Research at the Center for Healthy Aging and Innovation. Her work focuses on improving long-term care for older adults, especially those with dementia.
Her research interests include Aging, Long-Term Care Quality, Health Disparities, Alzheimer's Disease, Quality-of-Life Measurement, and Equity in Health Services. She uses mixed methods to address systemic barriers in care systems.
Recent publications examine racial disparities in Medicaid services, nursing home reform, dementia care interventions, and value-based payment models. Her work emphasizes community-engaged approaches and policy translation.

Shippee collaborates with Minnesota Department of Human Services to transform long-term care policies. She co-directs the Clinical and Translational Science Institute KL2 Scholars Program and leads studies on equitable aging.
