Terry Finnigan

Terry Finnigan serves as the Interim Associate Dean for Progression, Attainment, and Support at the London College of Communication, University of the Arts London. With a focus on student-centered practices, she has dedicated her career to advancing social justice and inclusivity in higher education, particularly in art and design disciplines. Her work spans study support, pedagogical innovation, and widening participation initiatives.

• Co-led the student voice project 'Tell Us About It.'
• Joint lead tutor for the Inclusive Practices unit in UAL's PgCert Academic Practice.
• Co-created the 'Essential Conversations About Race' workshop series.

Her research emphasizes reducing awarding gaps through inclusive assessment practices, evidenced by her 'Conversations Around Assessment' work and the 'Make the Grade' workshop program. She has co-authored key publications on diversity, equity, and retention in art and design education. Terry's contributions include the Reducing Referrals and Resubmissions Toolkit, which supports equitable assessment practices.
