Dr. Terrill F. Saxon is a Professor of Educational Psychology and Associate Dean of Graduate Studies & Global Engagement at Baylor University's School of Education. He earned his Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Kansas (1995) and completed postdoctoral work at KU’s Infant Cognition Center.

His research focuses on cross-cultural studies of marginalized and under-resourced children/youth, examining how schooling, teacher practices, and environmental factors affect educational outcomes. He also investigates early childhood language development and parent-child interaction dynamics.
Dr. Saxon has published extensively in top journals such as Child Development, Educational Psychology Review, and Comparative Education Review. His recent publications explore positive youth development, post-secondary readiness for at-risk populations, and doctoral attainment pathways.

As Associate Dean, Dr. Saxon collaborates on graduate programs and global engagement initiatives. He co-authored influential studies with researchers like Dr. Darrell Hull (University of North Texas) and Dr. Tamara Hodges (Baylor University).
