Sara Tomek, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Quantitative Methods Program within the Department of Educational Psychology at Baylor University's School of Education. She served as Interim Department Chair (2023-2024) and previously held faculty roles at The University of Alabama, Georgia Center for Assessment (University of Georgia), and Life Span Institute (University of Kansas).

Her methodological expertise lies in longitudinal growth modeling, applied to studying adolescent risk behaviors and their psychological, social, and behavioral consequences. She specializes in interdisciplinary research bridging psychology, sociology, health, and education disciplines.
Dr. Tomek's work extensively utilizes the Mobile Youth and Poverty Study – a 14-year longitudinal dataset tracking at-risk adolescents in Mobile, Alabama. Her research integrates methodological rigor across diverse domains including youth mental health, statistical modeling, and educational outcomes.
