Terrie E. Moffitt is the Nannerl O. Keohane University Distinguished Professor at Duke University's Psychology & Neuroscience Department, with an affiliate role at King’s College London. Her research focuses on longitudinal studies of human development, mental health, antisocial behavior, and aging mechanisms. She holds appointments in Trinity College of Arts & Sciences and Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences.
Education: PhD (1984) and MA (1981) in Psychology from University of Southern California, BA (1977) from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Research spans epigenetic aging biomarkers, mental disorder trajectories, and environmental influences on health. Her work with the Dunedin Study has revolutionized understanding of life-course development. Key grants include NIH-funded projects on aging, mental health, and neurodevelopmental conditions.
