Terri Roberts

Terri Roberts is an Assistant Professor and Assistant Program Director for the MOT/OTD Flex and Residential programs at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences (USAHS), within the College of Rehabilitative Sciences. She has over 20 years of clinical expertise in burns, hand therapy, and lymphedema. Dr. Roberts teaches courses in Orthotics and Prosthetics, Physical Agent Modalities, and Clinical Applications in Adulthood. Her roles include curriculum development, leadership in occupational therapy programs, and clinical adjunct instruction.

• Master of Science in Occupational Therapy, Belmont University

Research Interests: Dr. Roberts focuses on specialized areas within occupational therapy, including oncology, burns, and lymphedema management. She explores manual therapy techniques and their application in rehabilitative care, particularly for adult populations. Her work emphasizes bridging clinical practice with educational curricula to improve patient outcomes and practitioner training.

Professional Contributions: She has served as a clinical practitioner at Palomar Pomerado Health Systems and the University of California, San Diego, followed by private practice as a certified lymphedema therapist and hand therapy specialist. Additionally, she developed curricula for the occupational therapy assistant program at Grossmont College and delivered guest lectures at institutions such as San Diego State University and West Coast University.
