Terra Walston Joseph is Associate Professor and Department Chair of English at Rider University. Her research examines Victorian literature through the lenses of race, empire, and gender politics, with a current project on speculative fiction and settler colonialism in 19th-century works. She teaches courses including Romantic Literature, Victorian Literature, and composition.
Her academic background includes a Ph.D. in English with a minor in Gender and Women’s Studies from the University of Illinois and a B.A. from Indiana University.
