Tereza Jarnikova

Dr. Tereza Jarnikova is a Senior Research Associate at the University of East Anglia's School of Environmental Sciences and Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research. She researches physical and biogeochemical controls on ocean carbon cycling from submesoscale to global levels, using the PlankTOM model to study Southern Ocean dynamics and climate-carbon feedbacks.

• Impacts of ozone recovery on Southern Ocean carbon cycling
• Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation effects on carbon sinks
• Future ocean ecosystem changes and biological carbon pump dynamics
• Carbon-14 as tracer for ocean circulation patterns

She leads carbonate chemistry module development for operational ocean models and collaborates with Czech climate communication initiative Fakta o Klimatu. Dr. Jarnikova coordinated the Green Ocean team's contribution to the 2023 Global Carbon Budget.
