Teresa Williams is a Senior Research Fellow at the Rees Centre, University of Oxford. Her career spans strategic leadership and policy analysis in social care and family justice systems, with a focus on improving outcomes for children. She previously served as Director of Strategy at Cafcass (2018-2024) and Director of Justice and Welfare at the Nuffield Foundation.
Her research interests center on children's social care, family justice, and policy evaluation to enhance social wellbeing. She has collaborated extensively with national and international boards, including the Nuffield Family Justice Observatory and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.
Scientific awards include:
- Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences (2016)
Prior to her academic role, Teresa spent two decades as a Government Social Researcher, specializing in criminal justice, welfare-to-work, and child maintenance policies.
