Teresa Vazquez is an Assistant Professor and Director of the Pre-Art Therapy Program at the University of Saint Francis. She holds a BA in Creative Writing from Oberlin College and an MFA in Studio Art from the Art Institute of Chicago. Her interdisciplinary work bridges art, dream analysis, and technology, emphasizing themes of identity, healing, and cultural heritage.

Research interests include dreamwork's influence on artistic practice, mixed media techniques, and the intersection of AI with creative processes. Her work #Antibody (2020) visualizes immune responses to pandemic, while her DOGWHISTLES series critiques racialized language through monogrammed imagery.
She previously served as K-12 Visual Art Teacher at Fort Wayne Virtual Academy and managed community art programs at the Indianapolis Art Center. Teresa also teaches at Newfields’ Creativity and Wellness Programs.
Her career spans roles in academia, public art education, and community outreach, focusing on accessibility and cultural equity in the arts.
