Teresa Stanek Rea serves as a Professorial Lecturer in Law at George Washington University School of Law in Washington, DC, teaching Intellectual Property Law Seminar (course 6496). She concurrently operates as principal consultant at Rea Consulting LLC, specializing in patent prosecution, IP strategy, and expert testimony. Her distinguished career includes serving as Acting Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Acting Director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), alongside partnership roles at Crowell & Moring LLP and directorship at C&M International, Ltd.
Her academic credentials feature a Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan and Juris Doctor from Wayne State University. As a licensed pharmacist, she maintains unique interdisciplinary expertise bridging law, science, and healthcare regulation.
