Dr. Teresa Malice is a Researcher in Contemporary History at the Universität Bielefeld since 2020, focusing on fascism, gender studies, and Cold War transnationalism. She holds a cotutelle PhD from Universität Bielefeld and Università di Bologna (2019), awarded 'summa cum laude'. Her Habilitation project examines gender dynamics in fascist societies through diaries (1922–1950). She has held fellowships at institutions like the Institute for Holocaust Studies in Munich and the University of Aarhus. Active in academic governance, she serves on the Executive Board of the Bielefeld Graduate School in History and Sociology and chairs the Faculty’s Equality Commission. Her research spans Nazi/Fascist history, Italian communism, and DDR studies, with a 2023 monograph on socialist town twinning.
