Teresa Haase is a Core Associate Professor in the Low-Residency Mindfulness-Based Transpersonal Counseling Program at Naropa University, where she serves as a licensed professional counselor (LPC), school counselor, and approved clinical supervisor (ACS) with expertise in heart-centered leadership and mentoring.

Research Focus: Dr. Haase's work centers on Clinical Mental Health Counseling through transpersonal and mindfulness-based frameworks. Her pioneering research in Expressive Arts Therapy explores poetry and collage interventions for trauma recovery, while her Grief and Loss Counseling specialization addresses young widowhood and meaning-making processes. She has developed innovative Counselor Supervision techniques using metaphors to enhance communication and confidence in graduate students.
Publication Trends: Over two decades, her scholarship consistently bridges creativity and mental health—particularly in loss processing and therapeutic communication.
