Terence Lau

Terence Lau is a Lecturer at LASALLE College of the Arts with over two decades of experience in Singapore’s theatre and dance sector. He previously held roles as a senior lecturer at ITE College Central, production coordinator at NUS University Cultural Centre, and technical manager at The Substation. He holds a Diploma in Theatre Production and Management and a BA in Recording Arts from SAE Institute and Middlesex University.

His research focuses on sustainability in technical theatre through pedagogy, community-building in production workflows, and curriculum development. He advocates for ethical practices and cultural preservation in theatre education.

Terence has collaborated with prominent arts organizations including T.H.E. Dance Company, Wild Rice, Pangdemonium, and The Necessary Stage. He has served as a technical manager/consultant for major productions like Dim Sum Dollies, Into The Woods, and Grandmother Tongue, and mentored experimental theatre projects under NAC’s MATCHBOX scheme. His technical expertise spans live performances, festivals, and international collaborations across Asia.
