Ter Minassian Taline

Ter Minassian Taline is a Professor at Inalco (National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations), specializing in Russian studies. Her research focuses on the political and social history of contemporary Russia, the Caucasus, geopolitics, and the 'Great Game' across three centuries. She also explores Soviet and Post-Soviet heritage, history of intelligence, and minority networks in the USSR, Middle East, Caucasus, and Balkans.

As co-director of the Observatory of Post-Soviet States (CREE team) and head of the History and Social Sciences section of the LLCER Master's program, she bridges academic leadership with field-specific expertise. Her areas of expertise span Eurasia, and she contributes to research teams like CREE while teaching themes related to urban history, memorial policies, and Soviet interfaces.

Fluency in Armenian and Russian enhances her regional analysis capabilities. Affiliated with CNU (section 22 - History and civilizations), her work intersects modern world history, contemporary art, and music through an academic lens.
