Prof. Teoman Ozer is a Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Istanbul Technical University. His research focuses on Mechanics of Solid Bodies, Theory of Lie Groups, and their applications in differential equations, with contributions to continuum mechanics, gradient elasticity, and mathematical physics. He has been recognized with awards such as the ITU Award in International Cooperation (2025) and the Best Paper Award at the XIII. National Conference of Mechanics (2003). His academic roles include Head of Department (2012–2014), and he has held postdoctoral positions at the University of Minnesota and MIT.

His recent work includes studies on nano-beam models, COVID-19 epidemiological models, and analytical methods in economic growth models. He is a member of the American Mathematical Society (AMS) and SIAM, and has served as a referee for over 30 international journals.
