Tenret Elise

Tenret Elise is a Lecturer in Sociology at Paris Dauphine University and a member of the IRISSO laboratory. Her academic career spans over a decade with significant contributions to the sociology of education, particularly focusing on inequalities related to the sense of justice in educational and family contexts.

Her research interests center on educational inequalities, meritocracy, student mobility patterns, and family support systems. She has conducted extensive research on Ivorian student mobility, benefiting from a CNRS delegation between 2021 and 2023. Her work examines how educational systems perpetuate social inequalities through mechanisms like university selection processes (including Parcoursup), platform-based student employment, and differential family support during educational transitions.
