Tenna Doktor Olsen Tvedebrink is an Associate Professor at Aalborg University's Department of Architecture, Design and Media Technology, within The Technical Faculty of IT and Design. Her work focuses on integrating design-engineering principles with architectural thinking, emphasizing human-centered methodologies, narrative approaches, and social sustainability. She holds a hybrid background in architecture, civil engineering, food science, and sensory studies. Key research interests include body-environment relationships, user experiences, and the application of tools like user journey mapping and storytelling in design processes.
She has led projects such as 'Inclusive Cities and Urban Wellbeing' and 'FEED EUROPE', and coordinates the CREATE Integrated Architecture research group. Notable awards include the Ejnar Packness Fonden (2010) and Initiativprisen (2009). Tenna has contributed to over 65 publications, with recent work exploring heritage repurposing, child-centric urban design, and the ethics of architectural conservation. Her teaching roles include former Head of Studyboard for Architecture and Urban Design programs, emphasizing problem-based learning and interdisciplinary collaboration.
