Temitope Alade is an Associate Professor of Computing Sciences and Director of MSc Computing at the University of East Anglia (UEA). He previously held roles at Nottingham Trent University, University of Worcester, and University of Kent, focusing on teaching, research coordination, and post-doctoral research. His expertise spans software engineering, mobile computing, IoT, and wireless communication systems.
Academic Background: Temi holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science (University of Ilorin), M.Sc. in Mobile Computing (University of Bradford), and Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering (University of Kent). He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching from the University of Keele.
Research Interests: Temi’s work focuses on modeling and evaluating computing/communication systems, including web-based systems, IoT applications, machine learning integration, and 6G wireless networks. He explores interdisciplinary applications in healthcare, finance, and smart infrastructure.
External Activities: He serves as a grant reviewer for UKRI-AHRI and EU-funded projects, and is a regular reviewer for IEEE journals. He is a member of IEEE and has led collaborative projects like the EU Horizon 2020 Future Mobile Project (€195,455) and FP7 ULOOP Project (€375,000).
