Yad Tahir is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computing and Informatics at the American University of Iraq Sulaimani (AUIS), specializing in Internet of Things (IoT), computer networks, and network optimization. He has published in top-tier venues like IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing (TMC) and IEEE INFOCOM.

- B.S. in Computer Science with honors from the University of Sulaimani
His research focuses on decentralized algorithms, networking protocols, and cross-layer optimizations to enhance network performance in dynamic environments. He has contributed to wireless sensor networks, resource fairness in multi-user systems, and energy-efficient data processing in IoT.
Tahir's work trends emphasize mobile IoT, distributed optimization, and multi-resource fairness, with applications in routing protocols, congestion control, and systems with placement constraints.
