Ted Good is a Research Fellow and Marie Skłodowska-Curie postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Religious Studies (CERES) of Ruhr-Universität Bochum. His research focuses on Zoroastrian philosophy, particularly the early Islamic period, with expertise in texts like the Dēnkard III and Škand-Gumānīg Wizār. He holds a PhD in Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations from the University of Toronto (2023), an MA in Religion from the University of Chicago (2014), and additional degrees from SOAS and the University of North Texas.
Research Interests:
His work integrates metaphysics, philosophy of religion, and philosophical anthropology. Key areas include the historical and compositional understanding of humanity in Zoroastrian texts, late antique Iranian intellectual history, and cross-cultural dialogues between Zoroastrianism and other traditions in the Islamic world. He employs philological and interdisciplinary methods to analyze textual transmission and theological debates.
