Teagan Decker

Teagan Decker serves as Dean of the Esther G. Maynor Honors College and Professor of English at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Her academic career includes administrative leadership in honors education and teaching in rhetoric, composition, and humanities. She holds a PhD in Language and Rhetoric from the University of Washington and directed the English department writing center there. At UNCP, she directed the Writing Center (2007–2015) and served as Assistant Dean of the Honors College (2015–2020).
