Tea Lempiälä

Tea Lempiälä is an Assistant Professor in the Management of Complex Systems (MCS) department at the University of California, Merced, within the School of Engineering. Her work focuses on innovation practices, technological advancement, and organizational dynamics, with an emphasis on sustainable and inclusive innovation frameworks. She holds a Doctor of Science (Dr.Sc.) from Aalto University's School of Economics (2011), alongside a Master of Science (M.Sc.) and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in organization and management from the same institution (2005).

Her research interests include qualitative methodologies applied to organizational studies, exploring how collaboration and interaction within and across organizations drive technological and systemic innovation. Her academic contributions aim to bridge theoretical insights with practical solutions for complex societal challenges.
