Taylor Daniels is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Purdue University. His office is located in MATH 813. He holds a PhD from Purdue University, advised by Trevor Wooley and Ben McReynolds, and his doctoral thesis focused on 'The Asymptotics of Some Signed Partition Numbers.'
Education: PhD in Mathematics (Purdue University, 2024); prior research in hyperbolic spectral geometry before shifting focus to analytic number theory.
Research interests include analytic number theory, integer partitions, q-series, and previously explored areas such as mathematical physics, topology, and cryptography. His work often intersects partition function analysis and asymptotic behavior studies.
Teaching: Award-winning instructor with a decade of experience teaching and grading across calculus, real/complex analysis, and linear algebra. Currently teaching MA 262 (Differential Equations and Linear Algebra) in Spring 2025 with two lecture sections.
Awards: Excellence in Teaching Award (Math Dept., 2020).
