معرفی
Dr. Lecturer Taylan AKTAŞ is a full-time faculty member at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, Çiçekdağı Vocational School, Department of Veterinary Medicine, serving since 2015. He currently holds the roles of Department Head and Deputy Director of the Vocational School (2025-2028).
Education:
- PhD, Biology, Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, Institute of Science, 2022
- MSc, Biology (Thesis), Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, Institute of Science, 2013
- BSc, Biology, Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, 2011
Research Interests:
Dr. Aktaş focuses on microbiology, green nanotechnology and environmental biochemistry. His work explores the green synthesis of silver nanoparticles using plant extracts, evaluating their antimicrobial, anti-quorum sensing, antibiofilm, cytotoxic and anti-diabetic activities. He further investigates trace-element distribution in tissues of Clarias gariepinus across seasons and the protective effects of natural antioxidants (e.g., astaxanthin) against toxic insults such as nicotine.
Projects & Funding:
- Principal Investigator, “Antimicrobial, Anti-Quorum Sensing, Antibiofilm, Cytotoxic and Anti-Diabetic Activities of Green-Synthesized AgNPs from Hazelnut Extracts” (2023)
- Principal Investigator, “Green-Synthesized AgNPs from Napoleon Cherry Extracts: Biological Activity Profiling” (2022-2024)
- Researcher, “Anti-Quorum Sensing and Antibiofilm Activities of Rhizobacteria from Walnut Rhizospheres in Kırşehir” (2021-2022)
- Researcher, “Protective Effect of Astaxanthin on Nicotine-Induced Liver and Kidney Damage in Rats” (2015)
Scientific Output:
He has authored 13 scholarly outputs including SCI-expanded and TR Dizin-indexed articles and international conference presentations. His publications demonstrate a consistent trajectory in nanomaterial-biological interactions and environmental toxicology.
Collaborations & Teams:
Dr. Aktaş has collaborated intensively with researchers such as Alpaslan Dayangaç (Ahi Evran University), Muammer Bahşi & Ökkeş Yılmaz (Fırat University) and others, reflecting active interdisciplinary teamwork in biology, chemistry and veterinary sciences.
