Dr. Tayari Jones is the Charles Howard Candler Professor of English and Creative Writing at Emory University. A graduate of Spelman College, the University of Iowa, and Arizona State University, she is renowned for her literary contributions to African American literature and contemporary fiction.
- Notable affiliations: Emory’s Creative Writing Program (since 2018), Shearing Fellow at University of Nevada-Las Vegas Black Mountain Institute (2017-18)
Her work explores themes of race, family dynamics, and social justice through intimate narratives.
