Prof. Dr. Tatjana Filipovska is a Full Professor of Art History and Archaeology at the Faculty of Philosophy, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. She has held academic positions since 1988, progressing from junior assistant to Full Professor (2016). Her research focuses on Italian art of the New Age, Venetian painting of the 18th century, and the sociological aspects of European art. She has authored monographs and numerous articles, including works on Caravaggio, Venetian festive scenes, and the interplay between art and performing arts. Filipovska has also held administrative roles, such as Secretary and Head of Postgraduate Studies at the Institute of Art History and Archaeology.

- PhD (2005), Dissertation: 'The Festive Scene in Venetian Painting in the 18th Century'
Research Interests: Italian Renaissance and Baroque art, Venetian visual culture, art and theater interaction, sociology of art, and interdisciplinary studies of European visual culture.
Notable Awards:
- Manning’s Price for Best Student (1986/87)
Teaching & Leadership: Taught courses on European art history, Renaissance and Baroque art in the Balkans, and European art and interculture. Served on academic committees at her university and the Ministry of Culture.
