Tatiana Minav is an Associate Professor at Tampere University (TAU), affiliated with the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences and the Automation Technology and Mechanical Engineering department. She leads the IHA (Innovative Hydraulics and Automation) research unit, focusing on electrification of off-road machinery, energy recovery systems, and zonal hydraulics. Her academic journey includes a Doctor of Science (Tech.) from Lappeenranta University of Technology (2011), with research interests spanning electro-hydrostatic systems, predictive maintenance, and thermal hydraulics in Arctic conditions.
Her work bridges theory and industry practice through projects funded by the Academy of Finland and Business Finland. Key research themes include energy-efficient powertrains for non-road machinery, failure prediction in electromechanical systems, and digital fluid power solutions. Over 110 publications highlight her contributions to fluid power automation and machine safety, with an H-index of 16 (Google Scholar).
Dr. Minav actively organizes events like the Digital Fluid Power (DFP24) conference and the EM/MA-2 Final Seminar, fostering collaboration between academia and industry. Her research group contributes to Tampere University’s strategic focus on intelligent, sustainable machinery solutions.
