Tarja Koskela is a Lecturer in Criminal Law at the University of Eastern Finland's Law School, Faculty of Social Sciences and Business Studies. Her work focuses on animal law, environmental crime, and juvenile justice. She leads the ACElife project (2022–2028) on adverse childhood experiences and co-authored key reports on animal welfare legislation implementation in Finland.
