Minna Kimpimäki is a Professor of Criminal Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Lapland. Her research focuses on Criminal Law, International Criminal Law, and related issues such as illegal immigration, juvenile justice, and terrorism legislation. She has been actively involved in legal consultations for governmental bodies including the Ministry of Justice and parliamentary committees since 2021. Her work addresses contemporary challenges in Finnish and international legal systems, particularly regarding extraterritorial jurisdiction and sentencing philosophy.
