Tarek Zaher

Dr. Tarek Zaher is a Professor of Finance at the Scott College of Business, Indiana State University. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Texas at Dallas (1989). His research focuses on investment management, emerging markets, corporate governance, and financial risk analysis. Zaher is a co-founder and Managing Director of the Student Managed Investment Fund Consortium (SMIFC), which grew from 18 to 135 member universities since its inception in 2013. He has received numerous awards, including the Buttonwood Award (2018) and multiple research recognitions from professional organizations.

Key administrative roles include Program Coordinator for the Finance Program and SMIFC.
