Dr. Tara N. Feld serves as Associate Professor of Economics, MBA Director, and Interim Dean at Western Illinois University's College of Business and Technology within the Department of Economics and Decision Sciences. She has been a core faculty member since 1998 and assumed her Interim Dean role in July 2019 after serving as Interim Department Chair (2017-2019).

Dr. Feld's research bridges theoretical and applied economics with significant contributions to pedagogical methodology. Her dual-focus research program examines student learning outcomes across traditional, hybrid, and online educational environments while simultaneously investigating experimental models of social equity norms. This work directly informs her teaching practice in microeconomic theory and policy applications.
She maintains active administrative leadership through the MBA program direction and college deanship while teaching advanced courses including Intermediate Microeconomics, Managerial Economics, Public Finance, and International Economic Relations at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
