Tara M. Eickhoff is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Creighton University’s School of Pharmacy and Health Professions. She graduated from the same institution in 2016 and completed a PGY1 Community Pharmacy Practice Residency at Thrifty White Pharmacy in Fargo, ND. Dr. Eickhoff previously served as a Pharmacy Manager at Wal-Mart in Willmar, MN, focusing on rural pharmaceutical care and immunizations. She currently dedicates her role to supervising fourth-year APPE students in Medication Therapy Management (MTM) rotations through Creighton’s Center for MTM, which partners with AdhereHealth to conduct telephonic medication reviews for Medicare beneficiaries.
Her research interests include antibiotic stewardship in long-term care facilities, as highlighted by her 2017 study on fluoroquinolone use. Teaching focuses include PGY1 residency training and oral anticoagulation management. Dr. Eickhoff has received notable awards, including the Spirit of Creighton Award and multiple scholarships recognizing academic and professional excellence. She is affiliated with organizations like Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity and has presented research at conferences such as the Midwest Pharmacy Residents Conference.
