معرفی
Tara Dalton is an Associate Professor at the School of Engineering, University of Limerick, with affiliations to the Stokes Research Institute and Limerick Digital Cancer Research Centre. Her career spans roles as Assistant Director of the Stokes Research Institute since 2000, Lecturer in Biomedical Engineering since 2003, and Senior Research Fellow from 1998–2000.
- Education:
- B.Eng. in Aeronautical Engineering (1994)
- Ph.D. in Enclosure Heat Transfer (1997)
Her research focuses on optical measurement techniques at microscale, dimensional analysis in thermofluidics, and microfluidic systems for medical diagnostics. Key applications include genetic analysis and scaling thermofluidic phenomena from macro to micro domains.
Recent publications highlight her work in microfluidic gene expression profiling, colorectal cancer stratification, antibiotic resistance detection, and DNA enrichment platforms. These studies emphasize interdisciplinary innovation in biomedical diagnostics and thermofluidic modeling.
- Scientific Awards:
- PhD Scholarship (1997)
- Post-doctorate Scholarship (1998)
As a lecturer and researcher, she supervises postgraduate students, manages international research collaborations, and contributes to global advancements in thermofluidics and microsystem technologies.
